Okay, so two issues. They might even be related. First of all, I've installed and am now trying to run LoL on my Dell Laptop. It has just been upgraded to Windows 7 (as of today), so it's a fresh install of Windows. I managed to install the game and the larger patch, but am now getting the "the launcher has experienced an error" message.

Quote:
“The Launcher has experienced an error”
1. Restart the Launcher like it says, geez
2. Make sure you are current on your Windows Updates
3. Make sure you have Dot Net Framework 3.5
4. If you are running Windows Vista/Windows 7 make sure the install path is NOT in Program Files
5. Are you having Connection Failure Errors?
6. Reinstall League of Legends

I've tried all of these except the Dot Net Framework solution because for some reason my computer won't run the .exe file, but I was told by the person who installed everything that it should be up to date (he's a computer expert and does installs for people all the time, and has done so for years).

The text at the bottom of the windows says "retrieving server information…" like always, then proceeds to "Updating [LOL.Air] 27/50", then gives me the usual error message "The launcher has experienced an error. Please restart the application". Could this be an Adobe Air issue? Is this an updating error or a launcher error? It's downloaded the biggest update, so I thought it was done patching.

Another issue, which may be related, is that I run Sophos Anti-Virus on my machine. For some reason, neither I nor my friend who uses Sophos can successfully download and install LoL on our machines. Sophos thinks that it's Malware and will NOT grant any access to install it. Any idea as to why this is, and how to fix the problem?

I've tried to fix these bugs myself, but to no avail, so now I'm turning over to you guys.

Thank You!!!

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
